What we built
lockn.link is a secure link management platform that combines URL shortening, access control, click analytics, bot detection, pixel tracking, and uptime monitoring under one roof. It started as a simple URL shortener and grew into a complete toolset for anyone who shares links that matter.
Why it exists
Most link shorteners do one thing: shorten a URL. But the moment you start sharing links at scale — in marketing campaigns, with clients, on social media — you immediately need more. Who clicked? From where? Was it a bot? Is the destination still up? Can I restrict this to specific referrers or countries?
lockn.link answers all of those questions without requiring five separate tools or a complicated data pipeline. Everything is in one place, and it's free to start.
What it does
- Secure URL shortening — anonymous short links with no account, or authenticated links with referrer locking, geo restrictions, and expiry windows.
- Bot & threat detection — every click is risk-scored automatically. Headless browsers, scrapers, VPNs, and high-risk IPs are flagged before they distort your data.
- Pixel tracking — embed an invisible 1×1 pixel on any page or email to track visitors, devices, countries, and referrers without JavaScript.
- Uptime monitoring — check any URL on a schedule, get Slack and Discord alerts on state change, and share a branded public status page.
- Reverse URL lookup — trace any shortened link before clicking it and see the full redirect chain to the final destination.
Who it's for
Developers, marketers, and teams who send links to real people and need to know what happens after the click. If you've ever wondered whether a bot inflated your campaign numbers, whether a client's link was still working, or where your traffic was actually coming from — this platform is for you.
